4U @work Group is one of the leading personnel service providers in Germany. Their focus is on personnel placement and management in the trade, logistics, commercial and technical, clinics, dishwashing, and hotel industries, from temporary employment to outsourcing to master vendors.
Throughout the project, I worked closely with a colleague who played a crucial role in ensuring the project's smooth progress. Their expertise and collaboration were instrumental in the successful completion of the project.
The web design, which was the creative aspect of the project, was outsourced to an external company. Their design was then delivered to our team for web development. At the client's request, we chose to develop the website using WordPress and a page builder. This decision was made to enable their team to easily edit the site's content in the future, without the need for extensive coding knowledge. The project presented several challenges due to the complexity of the design. Many sections contained components with specific functionalities, often beyond the capabilities of a WordPress page builder and traditional plugins. Overcoming these challenges required innovative solutions and close collaboration with the client and the team.
The goal was to provide a quality solution, but at the same time condense the implementation time. To proceed with the implementation, I first conducted a research of complex components to find additional tools that would allow to develop that specific type of functionality without the need to use code in its entirety for various sections and to shorten the time. After the research phase, the results were discussed with the team, which covered: which Wordpress builder was more suitable, which additional plugins offered a similar structure and or functionality for adaptation and which specific sections required to be built through code (HTML, CSS and JS) and which sections had room for improvement in terms of UX. Once the UX improvement points were discussed with the client and approved, the implementation process began, which was based on these phases:
Estimate the web development time for each page and device.
Preparation of the WordPress environment (installation of the theme, Divi, and plugin required) and configuration of the site's global elements.
Implement the "Home" page for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Implement the "Unternehmen" page for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Implement the navbar and footer for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Add modifications with CSS , in the navbar and footer.
Develop sections with code (HTML, CSS, JQuery) for the home page and "Unternehmen" for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
QA of responsiveness, navigation, and functionality. Implementation of pages: Imprint - Data protection - Data protection applicants - LkSGAddition of Google Analytics, SEO.
After the initial implementation, we conducted a thorough review with the client. Their feedback was invaluable in identifying areas for improvement and ensuring the final product met their expectations.

We successfully delivered the complete web development of 4u@work's corporate website, meticulously following the graphic line, creating template sections, and optimizing images and vectors for web use. We ensured the website was responsive for desktop, tablet, and mobile, fixed bugs, and provided advice for updating content (images and text).
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend the use of Webflow for future projects. Its superior web design, comprehensive functionality, and flexible development capabilities make it a more advanced and efficient tool compared to a basic WordPress page builder. By using Webflow, you can elevate your projects to a new level of professionalism and efficiency.
